The office hours are absolutely discreet. You first enter a waiting area where nobody can see you. Only when I admit you individually into the session are we in private conversation. Other participants cannot see you at any time.
Do I have to turn on my camera?
The camera is not mandatory but desired to be able to meet the client.
How does the waiting area work?
When you open the Zoom link, you automatically enter a waiting area (Waiting Room). There nobody can see or hear you. I admit participants individually and one after another into the actual consultation session. The waiting area is like a private, protected space.
How long does a consultation last?
The office hours take place every Thursday from 6-7 PM CET. The individual consultation time depends on the number of participants, but is usually 10-20 minutes per person. This is often enough for an initial orientation or an acute concern.
Do I need to register in advance?
No, registration is not required. You can spontaneously join every Thursday between 6 and 7 PM CET via the Zoom link. This makes it particularly accessible and uncomplicated.
Is the consultation really free?
Yes, the Zoom office hours are 100% free. There are no hidden costs and no obligation to book a paid consultation later. This is an offer for everyone seeking initial professional orientation. Sometimes a solution can already be found.
What happens if multiple people participate?
Consultations always take place individually. If several people are in the waiting area, I admit them one after another. Other participants cannot listen to or see your consultation. Each session is private and confidential.
What topics can I address?
You can address all professional and personal topics: stress with the boss, fatherhood, career questions, workplace conflicts, work-life balance, burnout prevention, and much more. The office hours are open to all concerns.
Do I need special technical requirements?
You only need a device with internet connection and camera (computer, tablet, or smartphone) and ideally a microphone or headset. You can download the Zoom app for free. With a computer, you can also join directly through your browser.
What if I arrive late?
You can join at any time during the office hours (6-7 PM CET). If you arrive later, you simply join the waiting area and will be admitted as soon as I am finished with the previous person.
Does confidentiality apply in the Zoom office hours?
